Biography:

Gill has always had a passion for photography. She gained a BA (Hons) in Media Studies and for 12 years was employed as a senior photographer at the commercial studio owned by the award-winning Photolink Creative Group based in Manchester. Throughout her time as a full-time employee, Gill continued to produce a high standard of creative work for her own portfolio.

She has excellent working knowledge of the photographic industry and the technical expertise required for success in this fast-changing industry. Highly experienced with both film and digital formats and has worked extensively with DSLR, 35mm, medium and large-format cameras. Comfortable working with the public, direct clients, agencies, account handlers, art directors, small or large companies Gill has excellent experience working in studios and on location throughout the UK and abroad.

Between Aug 05 and Aug 06 she took a career break; travelling and volunteering abroad on organic farms and wildlife sanctuaries. In September 2006 she set up as a freelance creative photographer based in Manchester, UK and has never been happier; blending commercial assignments with personal projects. She works for a wide client base; small design agencies, direct clients, public organizations, editorial and publishing.

The business is run with a strong environmental and sustainable policy and many of her clients share this philosophy. The projects side of her work often includes exhibiting, publishing and working with like-minded collaborators. Favourite themes are nature, environment, architecture, the arts and green-issues.
