| Biography: | Trained in medium format forensic photography, I switched to private work in 35mm about 10 years ago. I made the move to digital about 5 years ago. In mid 2009 I again made some major changes... I stopped accepting (all but a very few) commercial assignments... I sold off all my digital equipment and returned to Medium Format (645 and 617) film cameras. I have now embarked on an rather large self-funded (daunting) and exciting project: to photograph every Province in Vietnam. This will include cities, towns, landscapes, agriculture, industry, ethnic groups, pagodas, churchs, tourist destinations and every other place of historical, social or recreational interest. Planning for this project has taken some two years (and over ten years of experience in Vietnam) and a conservative estimate is that it will take about four years to complete. The ultimate goal is to launch a new and exhaustive stock website, hold a major exhibition in Vietnam and at Vietnamese embassies overseas, and to publish a large coffee table 'art' book depicting the country and people of Vietnam. |
