| Biography: | I am a Nottingham based architectural photographer, whose work has been published internationally in architectural books and journals for almost 20 years. I ran with a 5x4" Linhof Tecnikardan for 15 years before reluctantly switching to digital. Regrets? Not now! Builtvision (my library) has been a member of BAPLA for several years and I have backed the blocking of RF and the fight against erosion of copyright with enthusiasm. I find daily that the noose of clients wanting 'something for nothing' gets tighter. 20 years in, and my personal response is to slowly increase my teaching workload through my second business LINE+LIGHT. I run training days for amateur photographers, and hope to encourage their own awareness of their rights in their images, whilst teaching them to take better pictures. In the meantime, architectural photography remains my main daily activity- I was an national RIBA (Royal Institute of British architects) judge in 2009, which was an amazing experience, so I certainly haven't had my fill of great buildings just yet! |
