| Biography: | My careers to date are, 10 years as ship draughtsman, 25 years writing software, 13 years landscape/commercial photography. A lifetime interest in landscape photography, only becoming professional when I set up my business in the Scottish West Highlands in 1994/95. Photography income is a mix of commissions and sales of landscape images via various outlets and galleries in the Scottish West Highlands. I switched in 2006 from 6x4.5 format to digital, Canon 1ds MKIII , a decision without regret. I still have a large film archive so I will be scanning with my Imacon for a long time yet. Most commissions are exterior/interior of Highland Estate properties and hotels, so that aspect of my business is heavily dependent on the health of the tourism business in the North West Highlands. |
