UK Environment Agency Re-Appears20 January 2010 10:30 The UK Environment Agency have decided they need a presence on Facebook after all. They have just re-appeared with this statement - Environment Agency This page was restricted and some comments were deleted last night. They shouldn't have been - if those who posted yesterday would like to repost then they're very welcome, no constructive comment will be deleted in future. UK Environment Agency in HidingOnly a few days ago the United Kingdom Environment Agency launched a program offering unpaid work to amateur and student photographers. If you missed this story you can catch up here. They seem to have been completely unaware that that such action is hugely damaging to the photography industry, and that it would result in condemnation from bodies representing photographers such as the Association of Photographers and Pro-Imaging. It has also been reported at length by the British Journal of Photography and we thank them for bringing this issue to light. |

Unpaid Photography OpportunityIf you would like to do some voluntary photographic work for the UK Government, then the United Kingdom's Environment Agency is the place for you! They are needing free photographic services. Unfortunately they are still paying their accountants, scientists, clerical staff, PR people, and all other the skills, at least for now. We're afraid there is no opportunity for any of these specialism, sorry guys, at least not yet, but maybe they will include you in this amazing opportunity soon! |

The Copyright ZoneEdward Greenberg and Jack Reznicki have recently launched The Copyright Zone website which they describe as a "Survival Blog for Photographers, Artists, and the Confused". The blog has articles covering many aspects of photography and the law such as copyright, rights grabbing scams, model releases, etc., etc. |
