A Few Problems....solved! During the week members sought solutions for problems they had with a Canon 1DsMk3, Camera Raw with CS4 and shooting tethered with a Canon and a Macbook pro. The PI List came up with answers to all these problems.
FTP Client for PC: A Mac using member needed to give a client advice on how to download files, a couple of programmes and plug-ins were suggested.
HD Movies and Aspect Ratios: It seems to be part of the Digital Revolution, now photographers need film making skills. A PI member shared his recently acquired knowledge to help another. We all have to constantly update our skills which is where the benefits of PI membership really make a difference.
On Location in Africa: A member shared his experiences during a recent month long assignment in Uganda and Tanzania. His piece evoked the atmosphere of the region, working from a Cessna, problems with missing local flights, unreliable guides and living in shipping containers. We must not forget the logistics involved with the 120kgs of equipment needed for such a challenging trip.
Weddings: A long thread debating whether to provide the couple with a CD of picture files or only to supply finished prints and albums. Each side was firm in their views and ended up differing, what came out was the problems and fluidity within the current wedding photography market.
