Weekly review to August 22nd. 2010

Another busy week here on Pro Imaging starting out with a question about
whether Bookmarks in Safari can be arranged alphabetically?

Collecting debts is just one of the problems photographers all around the world
face and how best to tackle this problem was one of this week's discussions
with much sound advise.

This is the time of year when many member's Pro Imaging membership fees
fall due.  From the many messages of support for all the valuable stuff PI does
it is obvious that members consider that the £30 a year is an absolute bargain!

Consumer protection and how to avoid loosing yours when buying gear on line
was a timely reminder.

A member had a question about colour in FinalCutPro and wrapping a label
around a bottle in Photoshop brought some interesting and useful discussions.

A member had lost a photography commission to a web designer who quoted a very low price for a photo shoot.  He turned the tables on him in an interesting way!  This was an interesting and illuminating discussion with some strong opinions expressed.

One of our members with weddings booked needed someone to help as he is
suffering from a neck injury and is having an enforced rest.   Who thought that
cameras were getting lighter!  It seems many photographers suffer from this
ailment judging from the discussion.

What is the value of the exposure tool in Photoshop asked one member who
had a client visit who wanted to use it.  The consensus was that it was not that
useful!

We also discussed running Photoshop CS5 on a Macbook Pro  and  iPhones
and OS 4.0.2 and Internet purchasing.
