Another busy week on the PI email discussion list, with a myriad of stories, questions and answers. On the technical side, members wanted to know about using an iPad as a storage device, FTP software for an old Mac (and how to stop it shutting down unexpectedly) and the best way to clean sensor brushes. One member needed a fake cake for a shoot - one that could be splattered onto a model's face - and wanted to know what to make it with. Answers were quickly supplied! Another member was about to buy a Gigapan Pro, and wondered if any other member had one, and the problems of importing one from the USA. His problems were solved when one member came up with the name of a stockist in the UK. On the business side of things, a member wanted suggestions for an online customer printing service, while an announcement was made asking for entries to a forthcoming Kodachrome competition. The Rights Grabbing Competitions campaign continues, with an announcement that Anthropics Technology, the makers of Portrait Professional, were asking for free use of professional photographs!
