Various systems were discussed, also the problems of loosing your data, also is all the data vital, are any jobs a "waste of Time" keeping for 20 years, will you choose a system which can still be accessed in a few years and loosing external HD's in a robbery. Different views on an important subject for the industry

D200 Batteries.
Strange power losses, another member has found a solution but not an explanation, could be a VR lens?

Employees Moonlighting.
A Management Problem, how it affects your business and your customers business, views came from different countries and legal systems covering lab staff, retouchers and assistants. We learnt that it's difficult for a lawyer to produce a win-win contract.

Fonts slowing down Photoshop.
Is this a myth dating from earlier OS's?or earlier software versions? Two members ended up differing on this, one coming from experience in practice, the other from an in depth knowledge of Macs

Lighting cars and motorcycles. A member, following a link on the PI website, to another members website wondered how he had achieved a particular shot involving motorcycles in a panelled room. A reply from the photographer in question, included lighting and merging techniques together with the problems of getting the motorbikes into the location

Photographing Christenings.
There's a first time for everything as there was for this PI Member. Has he charged enough, are there too many pictures, whats the best way to approach these commissions.

Toyota Hilux.
Have you thought of a pick-up as the company car/location vehicle. Are there still tax breaks in the UK, what alternative vehicles are there. Busy thread, must be some petrol-heads out there

Which Phase One Back?
After having a rep in the studio with the different backs now it's time for some practical advice. Help on which is suitable for location, what the best lens etc. Practical guidance direct from users.

Print Sales Outcome.
The results of a recent thread on a Pricing Dilemma . The member had the prospect of a large print order and wondered about offering discounts. He finally offered free extra prints which eventually the client did not take up but ordered anyway. Useful information on the corporate buying mindset.

Reality instead of Cyberspace.
A member has floated the idea of trying to meet up at a convenient studio in the Uk to put names to faces (apart from at the bar at Focus). September looks good for most. Now who's got a studio, fairly central, near the motorway

Dogs and Studios.
