This weeks busiest topic covered Landscapes, which profile to use, should the scene be neutral or balanced to your preference, touching on photographers philosophies of working.

On the technical side we discussed Applescripts, the best compact digital cameras (Ricoh GX100 was liked), hard drives in a G5 Mac, both internal and external.

It can be a problem for studio photographers, cleaning the diffusers on your soft-box, postings came perilously close to Good Housekeeping Hints here.

There were discussions about DNG files, should you archive these, for how long would they or any proprietary file format be supported.

Ink-jet Papers for a Folio, seems that there's a feeling that the "look" of the silver papers such as Galerie and Record Rapid is wanted, a couple of papers were suggested and we found that a member is printing digital files on to silver paper on a Lightjet then toning, selinium-sepia-gold-copper, you choose. Another thread discussed ink-jet canvas recommendations.

Problems using Greenscreens, some software to simplify matters was suggested.

Portrait Photographers, how do you work with your sitters, talk a lot, work close with a short lens, a longer lens to get outside their personal space and reduce prominent features, link the camera to a monitor, do you show the sitter the unedited results?, this thread looks likely to continue.
