The Invitation Listed below is an example of the invitation that is sent to organisations inviting them to become Bill of Rights Supporters. Depending on the particular circumstances the contents of the invitation may vary slightly from that shown here.
Dear ?????? I am writing to you on behalf of Pro-Imaging in connection with the terms and conditions of the above photography competition. We are a London-based international organisation representing professional photographers from around the world. Our purpose in writing is to introduce you to the Bill of Rights for Photography Competitions. The Bill of Rights sets out recommended competition terms and conditions in order that;
The Bill of Rights originated from and is supported by a worldwide liaison with competition organisers, photographers’ associations, private, public, and charitable organisations. You will see a link to the current worldwide membership of the Bill of Rights Supporters Group at the end of this email. We encourage you to adopt the Bill of Rights for all your photography competitions and to consider joining the worldwide coalition which supports it. There is no cost and we believe the positive PR and goodwill which would follow such an announcement will be of great benefit to your organisation. We will be happy to discuss this matter at length with any of your representatives if you have any questions after visiting the links below. If you wish to review your competition terms and conditions we have attached a report to assist you in which we have highlighted any changes necessary to bring the terms and conditions in line with the Bill of Rights. We also publish such reports as a service to competition entrants to help them understand specific competition terms and conditions but in the first instance the report is submitted privately to the competition organiser for consideration. We do hope to hear from you, but if we have not heard from you by ‘dd month year’ we will assume that in the meantime you wish to retain your existing terms and conditions and the attached report will be published on our website. However, our offer of discussion is always open and we welcome you to contact us at any time in the future. We will be glad to hear from you. Thank you for considering promoting fair and equitable terms and condtions for all.
