Bill of Rights Condition 3Contestants Must not be Required to Sign Agreements that fail The Bill of RightsThe Bill of Rights condition 3 states that contestants must not be required to sign commercial usage agreements in order to remain in the contest, or to be prize winners. Many contests have T&C's demanding that entrants sign agreements if they are selected as a winner of one of the prizes. Typically in such contests if you do not sign the agreement you will be disqualified and another entrant will be selected to take your place. In many contests these agreements seek to claim copyright or other extensive rights well beyond those permitted by The Bill of Rights. Pro-Imaging view this kind of behaviour by the contest organisers who employ it as beyond the pale, it is placing pressure on entrants to sign documents granting extensive rights on pain of losing their prize or place in the contest if they do not. Pro-Imaging cannot approve of competitions which fail this test. For the purposes of clarification it is acceptable that entrants sign a license agreement agreeing to the granting of all those rights listed in Bill of Rights Condition 2 - Free Usage.
