The Contest End Date Must be Within 16 Months of the Start of the Contest

Some photographic competitions declare an end date which is years into the future. The is an unacceptable practice because it can 'lock out' the submitted photographs from other contests or usages for that entire period of time.

It gives the organisations and sponsors usage of such photographs with all the usage rights claimed by the rules for little effort or cost on their part.

Competitions employing this technique cannot be approved by Pro-Imaging.
