This week's discussion kicked off with yet another rights grabbing photo contest. While it's good to see that more and more competition organisers are considering copyright and liability issues, it's amazing how many are still on fishing expeditions for free photography. Combine this with Getty selling Flickr images and it's plain to see a huge can of worms opening with law suits flying everywhere.
Technical discussions involved such diverse subjects as simply which office printer is best for CD's and invoices, through the best way to undertake sound recording on a Mac and how to light a colour managed workstation / office all the way up to finding a London based still life stylist and how to create movements in a DSLR camera, like we used to in the good old film days.
Finally, there's all sorts of stuff buried deep in Macs. Very few of us knew about Image Capture being a really quick way to ingest images from a camera or card until someone mentioned in in passing.....
Oh, yes. And we're in the latest issue of AG magazine - probably the best high quality photography publication currently in print. Just a glimpse into what we have been discussing here on Pro Imaging last week. Contributed by Neill Watson
