A relatively quiet week for the list - so quiet that the quietness itself was discussed! Hopefully it was because most members are finally getting busier after the summer lull.
On the technical front, one of our more high tech and practically minded members has been experimenting with a different way of achieving colour separations. But, as he put it, it was "the domain of sad scripters and command line geeks"!
Another member wanted to get iView media pro to embed file names into his photos, as a sort of watermark. Although members came up with lots of ways of doing this using other software, it doesn't seem as though iView can do it.
The going daily rate for freelance assistants was discussed, and one member reported on the (glowing) feedback he'd received on returning home from a remote foreign assignment.
Finally, "International Talk Like a Pirate Day" made its presence felt. Who knew that such a diverse bunch of photographers had such an interest and knowledge? Contributed by Simon Grosset
