This report has been made available to the organiser. If you are a competition organiser and want to understand why your competition appears here please note the following bullet points. This competition has failed on one or more of the above. Click on any of the highlighted links in the above bullet points for further information, and of course comprehensive detail on all these points is given in the Bill of Rights. The Rules of this ContestListed below are extracts from the rules of this competition. These extracts detail the rights being claimed from entrants. "By entering the contest you are giving us permission to use the photos for publicity and promotion of National Recreation Trails. This includes use on the websites of the NRT Program, American Trails, and cooperating agencies and organizations, as well as their non-commercial publications. This also includes use of photos by Trails.com, Away.com and GORP.com in promotion of National Recreation Trails though an agreement with American Trails. You retain all other rights to your photos"
Pro-Imaging Comment - The contest sets no time limit on the usage of entrants photos so we assume they will be used for ever. This fails the Bill of Rights for being unclear, and if using them forever fails the Bill of Rights in that respect too. The contest is not using the entrants images to solely promote the contest, they are being used for other promotional purposes without agreeing a rights managed agreement with the entrant, this fails the Bill of Rights. Other organisations, "Trails.com, Away.com and GORP.com" are granted use of entrants images, also without a time limit being set, this also fails the Bill of Rights. This contest is not recommended. Organisations - National Recreation Trails, NRT Program, American Trails, Trails.com, Away.com, GORP.com, Contact - Send enquiries about this contest to American Trails, P. O.
