What's On Offer
It is important that you read fully all the documents in this Join Up section before completing the registration form.

Pro-Imaging offers the following services:

Mailing List

As soon as your application to join our community is accepted you'll start receiving messages from the pro-imaging.org mailing list.

This is our primary method of communication for day-to-day issues.

Mailing list messages are relayed to all members within minutes and you can expect immediate responses to problems that you might have with any matter related to professional imaging.

Please note that there are a lot of information exchanges in the course of a day, so please make a special mail box or folder to automatically take only your PI mail. Details are on the member site once you join if you need further assistance.

You should note that the mailing list is COMPULSORY for all members and it is NOT AVAILABLE AS A DIGEST.

This is to encourage all members to participate in our community - not just take information from others.

Discussion Forum

Non-urgent issues, issues that would be of interest to a minority of members, or issues that require long and involved debate can be discussed in the Discussion Forum at the pro-imaging.org web site.

The Discussion Forum covers hardware, software and camera issues and includes a "chat" section where members can discuss any issues no matter how off-topic. It's also a place where you can buy and sell things to other members.

Member Details and Profile

Each member has there own on-line contact details, biographical information and gallery, these can all be maintained via your web browser.   It's incredibly easy to create your own gallery to showcase your work, and Pro Imaging uses it's funds to promote members work to potential clients.  Members can author articles for publication on the website.  Authored articles created by the members will be reviewed and edited by the Pro Imaging Admin team prior to publication.

Information authored by members and subsequently published by admin can only be seen by other members. However, members are also able to author documents that can be viewed by visitors to the site - all this requires is the approval of an administrator.

Adobe Photographer's Directory

Adobe Photographers Directory is a international portfolio website created by Adobe and accessible directly through Adobe Bridge. It promotes commissioned photography and goes a small way to answer criticism of Adobe's policy of having RF images available from Adobe Stock.

Look at the Adobe Photographers Directory for more details.

News & Information

The site has a News section that is also accessible as an RSS feed. All members are able to submit News items that will be visible to other users of the web site.

This allows us to keep abreast of the latest developments in our profession.

You will never be more than one click away from the latest software updates, news and gossip.

Community

Many people in our industry work as freelancers and have little contact with fellow professionals.

The mailing list and the web site provide a 24/7 resource where you'll find a friendly ear and helpful advice on pretty much any issue.

And you can even use instant messaging for real-time communication with other members who are logged in to the web site!

Knowledge Base

The mailing list archives, member information and member Forums are all indexed and searchable.

This provides a unique resource to members who can rest assured that somebody else has probably faced and solved the problems that they are currently troubled by.

Specialist suppliers, solutions to hardware & software problems may only be one click away.
