FTP file transfer comes up from time to time and this week it re-appeared and as always some helpful answers arrived quickly. A member has a double wedding celebration to cover and is uncertain how to cost it as the two events are to take place in two different countries. A Time Machine question for the Mac users brought forward a string of ideas for safely moving files...and how about Cronosync? Anyone up for sound recording with a Canon 5D2? It seems as if the high levels of compression can give unwanted problems. Also talk about the expected release of a video mode upgrade for the EOS 5D Mark II I'm looking for a super heavy weight boom that will hold 12Kg, all the regular ones seem to be too weak. Anyone know of a decent make /supplier? Several suggestions from members who know. A major wedding album maker has bitten the dust so what is a good alternative product? Several suggestions are put forward within the hour. Interestingly one member is still able to communicate with them and arrange for stocks to be made available to members! Very latest is that a new company is rising from the ashes in the next week or so. What sort of compression is best for files...how about LZW? A friend in need....a member is planning on helping a friend move all his data from an old iMac but no firewire post. How about T mode through an external drive attached to the macbook?
