Weekly Summary to August 10th 2009 |

Another interesting week here on Pro Imaging starting off with a member wanting the latest advise on suitable printers for making A3 prints. An appraisal of a member's new web site created as the result of a list discussion on what web creation software to use.
We discussed some of the considerations necessary when converting files from RGB to CMYK. We are very fortunate in having amongst our membership some very well known and well regarded experts in the field.
One of the members warned about a company who failed to pay his account possibly saving other members grief in the future! Not being a public discussion forum makes such discussions possible!
One of our Swiss members had a problem with file saving with CS4 and was quickly helped.
A problem with DxO Optics Pro V5 which a member purchased mainly to sort out lens distortion, moved onto a very interesting discussion comparing this software with the Canon Digital Pro software.
Another rights grab was brought to our attention by one of our members with all the usual rights grabbing terms. We have now been approached by this organiser and initial discussions have been encouraging.
CS4 merge to panorama should be easy or so the book says, but one of the members needed help!
Photo taken with an iPhone wins a competition. What ever next! A lively discussion resulted as might be expected.
Moonshine! A member needed a word of advice about an upcoming fashion shoot under a full moon. Some fascinating information emerged which should make for a successful shoot.
We noted that the fees charged by the US copyright office have altered.
Well that was just a taste of what Pro Imaging members talked about last week. Contributed by Richard Kenward - Artisan Digital Services
