Weekly Summary to Sept 21st.
Getting the work in was a thread started from the far east and lead to a lively
discussion with members making some useful suggestions.

Colour differences between Adobe applications was occupying the attentions
of some members.  It was tracked down to a version 4 rather than a
version 2 type profile!

Willy Ronis dies
at the grand age of 99 years young.  Several members
recount various personal stories.

Colour difference between shots in a studio portrait session.  Why?   Auto
white balance is the likely culprit!

Using Copy/Paste in CS4 File Info appears not to work, seems to be a bug.

Use of Pacsafe security mesh for camera bags and it's merits were discussed

The idea of wedding DVD usage rights was floated and some members pointed
out the benefits and the problems that could ensue.

Photoshelter & Photo Mechanic opinions were sought and fully answered.

Carry on baggage is becoming a real problem for photographers with some
airlines enforcing a strict enforcement ruling.

How does one 'embed' an e-invite instead of having an attachment when
sending out e-mails and how do you know if they have actually opened the
picture?  A member explains how to do it.

Blue-Ray drives
for back-up interested some.

Sensor cleaning cropped up again and was well answered.

Barter for pictures.
  You have to be joking!   Seems as if some potential clients
are trying this on.

Lots of LightRoom related discussions.

A dead Pocket Wizard brought some quick advise on where to get it repaired.

Colour management with ipod movie brought an interesting reply from a colour
management guru.


A damaged limited edition photographic print needs fixing the traditional way,
but who does this these days.  Some possible answers were offered.
