Pro-Imaging

RF Cock-ups:  A PI Member presenting to an Agency wanted to show them the problems with competing companies using the same RF image. Others responded with examples and we look forward to hearing the outcome of the meeting.  We also discussed how RF and Microstock has adversely effected the lives of many professional photographers.

Final Cut Pro:  A long thread reflecting the current interest in video work,  conversions from 5DII files, grading, file conversion were all discussed.Photoshop is beginning to look simple now.

Photoshop Ban:  We hear that a UK MP has spoken out about how retouching can make young women unhappy with their own image and self esteem. This seems to have aroused more interest outside the country. UK Members may have a more cynical view of MP's pronouncements.

Photography Books and Selling:  A short thread, starting from the difficulty in selling  them with a member noting how valuable a book can be in your business promotion.

PhotoLegal joins the growing number of organisations backing the Pro Imaging campaign aimed at  bringing fairness and honesty to photo competitions.
