Focus on Imaging Meet-Up: Around twenty PI Members met up this year at Focus at the NEC in the UK. Lots of good conversation with a chance to put faces to names. In fact conversation was so interesting that members stayed outside the bar for close to two hours!
Canon Time Lapse: Is it somewhere in the menus?, other members posted information about a Canon Cable Release which does exact;y what was needed.
Google's Digital Library decision: Are we at the beginning of yet another attempt to devalue our Copyright, we could be excused for thinking that a new one comes along every week.
Pentax 645D: A member from the Far East posted information about Pentax's new medium format digital camera, looks interesting but only in Japan at the moment.
Something worth looking at: An item about Maurice Broomfield, the pioneer of expendable flash with industrial interiors was featured on BBC Radio 4's prestigious Today programme. A member posted a link to a fascinating slide show, which gave the older industrial photographers in PI the chance to reminisce.
Just a small sample of what was discussed last week. compiled by David Williams - David Williams Photography
