Weekly review to April 26th. 2010

One of our members had a very nice write up of his outdoor exhibition of large portraits of the local community in AG magazine this month.  Good work Conor!

Free Colenta Film Processor:   Most of us seem to have good old kit that there's no longer a use for, a member suggested putting it on eBay and donating the money received to charity.

Google Offer Free Commercial Photography:   Members took two views on this story, was it a threat or could it raise interest in commissioning good photography.

Liquid Emulsion Supplier North West UK:   Help needed for a family friend,  a lateral thinking member suggested a supplier in London together with a current £1 coach ticket offer.

Monitor Calibration - what gamma to set?:   A member who is normally the arbiter on the colour management of his work has been asked to photograph some items where the repro is colour critical, where should he set his gamma as traditional standard for Mac or for PC.  Some very knowledgeable PI members explained the concepts and how in really only applies to CRT monitors.  To get the full story you'll have to be a Pro-Imaging Member.
