Weekly review to June 12th. 2010

Many members subjected themselves to an interesting and instructive on-line test of their colour perception......the vital link in a good colour managed workflow.

One of our French members is looking for display lighting of the free standing
type preferably and several suggestions were made.

A wireless DSLR external monitor device that looked very interesting and could
solve the problem of clients trying to look over your shoulder when you are
shooting.

DSLR sensor cleaning
is always of interest to many members so it was great to
hear of a really effective way of cleaning these sensors, but then one member
reported some issues with it!

What do you do when your SDHC card starts to loose images....apart from
feeling the onset of panic!  Members have suggestions.  We also talked about
G-Tech drives

PC failure,
computer sounds to be working but nothing on the screen...smell of
electrics.   The right answer is provided by one of the members inside the
hour.

The Digital Economy Bill
passed early this year in the UK is being challenged
by two large companies and is set to cause a large upset soon.

with digital capture was the subject of a very interesting
discussion which looked at the nostalgia of less than perfect rendition when
compared to the best modern digital capture available today.

Wanting black and seeing blue.

hitting the F key and of course there is an easy solution when you know the
answer!
