It must be the summer (or winter) holidays all around the world as there were only 80 odd postings this week. As usual, they were a fascinating mix of technical problems and business advice. On the technical side, one member was having problems with poster frames in Final Cut Pro. Another was having trouble sending a photo from his iPhone. And speaking of iPhones, one member wanted to know what all the fuss was about. He'd just got hold of an HTC phone on a very good deal, and reckoned it was just as good. On the business side, a member wanted to know our collective wisdom on licensing international usage of a photo. Should he spell out each country and charge for each, or just license it for 'international use' with just one extra charge? Property releases - or the lack of them - were also discussed, as were the uselessness of most SEO companies who seem to be ringing up photographers at the moment, offering amazing results. Lastly, one member with an injured neck was looking for photographers to cover two weddings in the next few weeks for him. His request was immediately met! Compiled by Simon Grosset - Q Photography |
