A quiet week on the PI list which isn’t surprising it being December and there being festivals occurring at this time of year.
Topics that have come up over the week include searching for quality postcard printers, celebration of PI’s eleventh anniversary, the possibilities of contacting Ebay personally and answers to all of these questions.
After that there were various points put forward and complaints about “Britain open for business”. Mention was made of Norman Child’s fascinating posting about Indochina which was an interesting read.
Iphone finger recognition was causing some problems as was Wi-Fi signals in a car, various points were raised with discussions of modern technology and its feasibility. Vodafone was also causing some problems, it can only be hoped that some one from that company sees this digest and takes some action! It’s worth pointing out that PI is a strictly members only list so the digest only is on public view.
Apple came up trumps for a member with his machine being repaired for free, maybe its Christmas! A large monitor was sought for an exhibition and lots of places to source this were suggested.
Rex photo library has had some problems of great concern to members involved in stock sales as they seem to have been engaged in questionable practices and there is mention of this at http://tinyurl.com/hovtyvx .
“Astronomy Photographer of the year” needs some attention as our copyright experts have spotted more rights grabbing.
Sophos on Macs seems to be causing difficulties and this was mentioned in a few posts.
So problems arising and hopefully most solved by our expert forum. May I wish one and all a very Merry Xmas and a successful New Year.
